Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear, one of the largest intellectual property specialty law firms in the United States, has been ranked as the top IP law firm headquartered in the Western United States in an international survey conducted by Euromoney’s Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) magazine.
The survey results were compiled from nominations submitted by nearly 4,000 IP practitioners worldwide. Based on the nominations, MIP garnered further in-depth feedback on the firms by contacting 700 industry specialists throughout the world, which was then used to rank the top IP law firms in each country and jurisdiction.
The survey, which appears in the February 2006 issue of MIP, ranks firms across the United States in the categories of patent prosecution and patent litigation, as well as trademark/copyright prosecution and trademark/copyright litigation. On a nationwide basis, Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear tied for second in the patent prosecution, trademark/copyright prosecution and litigation categories and tied for third in the patent litigation category.
