Professional Profile

Scott A. Barker is an associate in the firm’s San Diego office.  He practices in many areas of intellectual property law including patent prosecution, litigation, and licensing.  He has expertise in a wide variety of technologies involving mechanical devices, medical devices, display devices, and clean technology devices.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Barker worked as a manufacturing engineer at Raytheon Missile Systems where he oversaw the conversion of technical data packages to manufacturing work instructions for various subassemblies.   During his legal education, Mr. Barker was a member of the Giles S. Rich American Inn of Court and received awards in Copyright Law and in Patent Trial Practice.

Mr. Barker worked as a summer associate with the firm in 2007 and joined the firm in 2008.
