Arno is a partner in our San Diego office. He specializes in patent protection for a variety of industries, including analog and digital electronics, computer hardware and software, communications, and drug discovery technologies. His practice is focused on both U.S. and foreign patent-related matters, technology licensing and client counseling in connection with intellectual property strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Arno was an electrical product safety consultant with Compliance West in San Diego, California from 1987 to 1994. While with Compliance West, he started law school at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was a member of the San Diego Law Review and authored “Use Restrictions and the Retention of Property Interests in Chattels Through Intellectual Property Rights,” which was published in the Winter 1994 issue of the San Diego Law Review.
