| Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear continues to grow and thrive, in part because it hires the vast majority of its lawyers directly from law school. The firm’s training and philosophy produces excellent lawyers who enjoy working with each other. Lawyers at the firm share common goals and passion for the practice of intellectual property law, and are committed to maintaining the collegial environment that has resulted in remarkable stability. Since its inception in 1962, no group of lawyers has left the firm. Knobbe Martens believes that its stable growth is not achieved through mergers or acquiring lateral groups from other law firms. It is achieved by maintaining a firm culture that values unity and excellence above growth for its own sake. That culture, in turn, is maintained by hiring promising law school graduates, training them, facilitating their development into excellent, successful lawyers and making them partners as soon as they are ready.
