Location:
Knobbe Conference Center
2040 Main Street, 2nd Floor

Join us for a one-hour discussion of the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act (AIA), which introduces significant changes to the U.S. patent system. Some of the more significant changes include moving from a "first to invent" to a “first to file” system and providing more comprehensive options for post-issuance reconsideration of a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Our presenters, including Steve Jensen, Kerry Taylor, and Joe Cianfrani, will discuss how and why this legislation was enacted, the substantive provisions of the AIA, and the potential impact of the AIA on patent prosecution and litigation strategies.
